I went to the site, but I see the games have not refreshed since yesterday. They must take weekends off. Hopefully they'll be back. This is probably not their highest priority.
Confession: Today I did what I do every Sunday morning: went to the NYT Magazine, NYT Book Review and NYT opinions (three different tabs), and called up one story from each that looked good.
Then I remembered the strike.
I reasoned that the stories I pulled up would already have counted as "page views" by the site, so with the damage done I might as well read those, but I won't go back and find more.
The people who are virtuously boycotting the NYT and the Washington Post (I don't consider the latter a virtuous boycott but people who do it intend it to be and mean well) -- where do those people get their national news? I mean, of course there's plenty of news available in their local paper and on NPR, CNN, the Guardian, etc. And left-leaning but highly accurate sites like the New Yorker, the Atlantic, Slate. And, I suppose, right-leaning sites, although I don't consider them as reliable, and not just because of my own political inclinations.
NYT Management, please give the union everything it's asking for by next Sunday.
