Yep, Sangria and beer, though sodas the last few hours, since I was driving. Met a whole bunch of interesting guys from the Shenandoah Valley and western Maryland.

sounds like a BIG party...you said you were new..Were they people Earl knew?

Hey, is Earl still doing his amateur wrestling matches?

Yes, the people there were Earl's friends, whom I hadn't met until then. Earl has cut back on the wrestling because of a recurring shoulder problem, a flareup of a childhood injury. He's taking it easy for a while. But during these summer months he's got more than enough stuff to do at the cabin in West Virginia.

he is fond of that cabin....I am sorry to hear his shoulder has been bothering him..

He better be careful up there in those woods cause he could sure enough hurt himself

Yes, he could, but he's been good about not overtaxing the shoulder. He is disappointed about not getting in as much wrestling in as he'd like, due not only to the shoulder but because at the wrestling venue younger guys don't want to wrestle with older ones like me and Earl. Even though Earl could whip their butts easily!

well that is probably why they don't want to wrestle him!! Their egos couldn't take it...LOL!

I've seen Earl...he looks like there is not a lot of 'give' in him...

OK! I'm awake now, ... and eating supper. My Newfie neighbour, who appreciates my garden saw me takin a few pics and asked if I wanted ta try her pasta salad ... and then her regular salad ... and VOILÀ ... supper. Very tasty, but I guess that's mainly cause a the garlic. and I didn't hafta prepare it in this ridiculous heat!

No, still no black lilies, but I'm hopeful - for tomorrow ...
