What ya all up to?   Are  you all going to watch the Super Bowl?

I'm sticking with the Olympics.  :laugh:


Woke to snow today, which was nice.   Nothing major, maybe an inch at most, and the streets stayed clear and easy to drive on.  It's been flurrying almost all day, so it's been pretty to watch.   

Yesterday was my brother Chris' birthday, and today is my parents' 57th wedding anniversary.  I spent some time with them today, but we're celebrating next week, when the family can get together.   Next weekend is a three-day weekend, with the bank being closed for Presidents' Day.

Everyone seemed to have plans for Valentine's Day this weekend.  I opted to stay home, but I went out and made myself a nice meal (meatloaf, something I haven't had in a long time) and a cupcake for dessert.

What's going on in everyone else's lives?

I hope everyone has some good stuff going on for the weekend!

I'll be at mom and dad's place on Sunday, celebrating their wedding anniversary, and my brother's birthday.  We're ordering dinner from a local restaurant, and just hanging out and catching up.

I got my bonus yesterday!



I plan on using some of it on Monday, taking advantage of the President's Day sale to buy a new bed.  I have the same one I had before I moved into my place, and it's time for a replacement.  The frame I have is just a metal frame, with no headboard.  So I want a sturdier frame, headboard, and then get a new box spring and mattress.

Yay for you both! Chuck, I've been thinking about getting a new mattress myself. Is it necessary to get new box springs too? Do they wear out?
