((Tries to concentrate on chopping wood, but his eyes keep drifting back up to the mountain where Ennis is herding sheep. He looks at the meager pile of firewood he has managed to chop so far.))

((Jack lifts his arms to cleave the DISAPPEARING LOG standing before him, but he hears something behind him. He turns and sees Aguirre approaching on his horse Cesar. Being Jack and therefore kind to all animals, he looks the horse dead in the eye and winks at him. Then he looks up to to Aguirre, rolls his eyes.))

Howdy, Mr. Aguirre. Come to check up on us?
