Re: ABCs at the Movies: Take Five!
« Reply #3332 on: April 02, 2008, 08:50:12 am »
For our next round...

Take Five!

Movies must be played from years that are divisible
by 5 (2005, 2000, 1995, 1990, etc).

To make it a little trickier, every eligible year can only be played TWICE in the round...ie, when two movies from 2005 have been played, that's it for that year. I'll be keeping track.

NB: The years DO NOT have to be played in order.

Unplayed movies, as always. I'll update the archive with our "Nourish Me!" round as soon as I get to the office.

Have fun!

"F" is Fandango (1985)
« Reply #3338 on: April 02, 2008, 12:44:42 pm »

IMDb trivia:

The movie is based on a short student film directed by Kevin Reynolds when he was in USC film school. The student film is basically just the skydiving sequence, based on a true story. 'Steven Spielberg' , having seen the student film, recruited Reynolds to direct a full-length movie based on it.

Kevin Costner auditioned for and lost a part in the student film on which Fandango is based, the same part he later played in the feature film.

In the end, 'Steven Spielberg' was so disappointed with this film, he took his name off of it when it was released.

1985 has been played twice, so no more 1985 movies in this round.
