Tomatoes are from the garden too. Didn't have many this year, but the yellow ones are quite tasty.

you got some nice looking ones..I need that one red one in the back there...I got some bacon and that would slice up nicely I think...

Hey Jess

Don't think I told you ...

Those yellow (canary looking) birds came visiting a couple a days ago. Must have been 7 to 9 of them feeding away at the sunflower seeds all at once. Knew that if I went outside they would fly away, so I went & got my camera & took picture a em through the picture window - for over half an hour!

They are very flighty - don't stay in one place too long, and even when they do, they're feeding with their tail up. Another problem, not all a em are yellow. The females(?) and maybe the babies are bland. Saw only 2 yellow ones in the lot, but there were some stripes a yellow on the bland one's back.

Still haven't shrunk em or cropped em, but I took some 25 pictures, some a em are pretty good ...  ;D

Pictures to come...
2015 - Toronto: Pan Am Games
2015 - Edmonton, Montréal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Winnipeg: Woman's World Cup of Soccer

Naw - Bryan's seen em, I've seen em, the neighbour's seen em (remember, I told you, she ran in to get her camera and by the time she got back they were gone.)

But last year, before I got a camera, I would sit outside and read, and they would frequently come & feed with me less than 10 feet away. But I never saw more'n 5 at once.

They have a distinct sing song. Thought it was them when I heard em through the open window, and I was right ...

There are (now) many places in the neighbourhood with some sunflowers growing in their yard, but none has as many as I do. Problem is squirrels love em too, and they are definitively a pest. They'll go up to the flower and, by their shear weight, they'll break the stem. Grrrrr!

Not to mention, some a em nested in my garage a couple a years ago - Made quite a mess in there.
