I guess everyone has packed it in for the night, but I was catching up on this thread! Again!  ;D  I went out for coupla hours, I return here a few margaritas later, and discover that 10 new pages have been added to this file :o ...

Leslie - Seems the 'Brandon-RT' saga is shaping up pretty nicely :)  They are headed for the Westin, can't wait to read the next chapter  8)...

Sheyne - Rt was right, there is some 'background action' going on between you and Mandy, right?;)  Because your fanfic was extra spicy (and its only chapter 1 yet) LOL...

Sweet dreams to all!

I saw Sedaris about two years ago -- missed that story, which sounds awesome...

It was all tremendous, but this part stands out right now:  In talking about her pulling up to the house in a car being driven by a "man with no shirt on who looked like he had recently started shaving," he said she got out and said "Oh, that's just Keith" as he pulled away.  Not "That's my nephew Keith," or "That's Keith from the fillin' station who's wanted in five states."  No.  "That's just Keith."  And he said, "As if we had all just read a story about her life and knew all the characters in it."
No more beans!

Good thing there WERE fellow-Brokies in the SF Bay Area--none of mjy friends, relatives or psychologist will allow me to even say ONE MORE WORD about the movie...or the short story...or anything tangentially related. :'(

New one: only one I have of Jack's mom...

That's right, Julie.  And I live in your world - if I so much as even tangentially mention it, now, at best I get a funny look and at worst I get "You're really obsessed with this movie, aren't you?"  Well, DUH.

Hi Leslie!

Thanks!    I change Avatar pics like three times a day!   LOL.     It is either one from the movie, a dirty Cowboy one or a nerdy Geek.  Guess which one is me?

Dirty cowboy, obviously...that was a no brainer. Next question?

My son just told me about this site...www.myheritage.com...you can scan your pic for face recognition. It's fun, check it out.
