She asked for a pic of Jeremy and Nick, so I hope this might help to stimulate Louise's creative juices:

The chapter says Nov 10-11, 1984 which was after the wedding (Oct 28) but Ennis was still recuperating from this legbone. He got clearance from the doctor that he was okay on Monday, Nov 12, 1984.

I am trying to remember the date when Ellery went to work and Jeremy took the morning off to help Nick move?

Leslie

It was Tuesday, November 13, 1984.

I think tonight I'll put together a little Jeremy/Nicky timeline.  It might require me to do some re-reads. . . . but I'll force myself.   ;D

Haven't read this new part yet - I'm guessing it's not work safe, but I don't know how long I can hold out! LOL!

The epilogue to the Red Stallion was 12 November.
13 November was the beginning of "A Small Circle of Friends" when Dupree took the day off to help Nick move out of the Red Stallion.

I did a lot of rereading last night which was why this did not get more than a thousand words completed before I keeled over and passed out.
“Mr. Coyote always gets me good, boy,”  Ellery said, winking.  “Almost forgot what life was like before I got me my own personal coyote.”

Oh some Licky Nicky and Do-me Dupree sounds reeeal good about now.     And it doesn't have to be hot sex.     I love the dialog between them too.

Thank you, Louise  :)

I needed a bit of recuperation time after that OH. MY. GOD. first part.   ;D  Loved this morning after, too.  Hey, we got a "baby" and a "babe" - Nicky's expanding his "bedroom names" as Jeremy would call them - and I don't think he minded a bit - but, of course, they were in the bedroom.   :)

Jeremy is too adorable - “So yer really interested in me, huh?”

I like sensible and matter-of-fact Nick understanding and respecting Ellery's rules.  ("Siesta Motel" sent a pang through me.)  I also like his straightforward approach here to moving the relationship along   - “But we better talk anyhow, we’ve reached a juncture.”

Terrific, Louise - as always.

Marie

P.S.  Don't you dare fix that blind, Jeremy.   I need to keep my illusion that the sunlight and moonlight are meant to be shining in on you and Nicky.   :)

Can I just say, Marie, that you are my favorite reviewer? thanks for that!

Yes, the Siesta Motel, a pang indeed. Does Ennis know about a 'Siesta Motel' in Laramie?
