Thanks for the great story about Jack and Ennis doing a little homework, Littlewing!!!

I enjoyed it and it brought back a wild memory. LOL

Several years ago I bought a book called  The Ultimate Kiss  (it wasn't about kissing) Anyway, anyone who was the recipient of the techniques from that book was very appreciative. A friend borrowed it -- and never returned it.

That's okay -- the lessons stay with ya.

So -- yeah -- I really loved reading your story. Thanks, Brokie Pal!!!!

Thanks for your kind words, and thanks for sharing your experiences, Shasta.  I had many such books, but as my nephews reached a certain age, they found my "stash" and cleaned it out.     It is always a pleasure to see you.  Thanks again for sharing, Babe!

Superb littlewing ... and just what I needed to soothe my nerves!!
Jack was so desperate for Ennis that he could have pulled his hair out, strand-by-strand.  Oh so beautiful and so sad .....

Susie

So have you got a picture of page 27 for us then?

SusieBaby, anything to put a smile on your lovely face.  Cheer up!  Everything will be okay.  I miss him too!

This is a little something me and Dagi have been writing together.

Ennis' Fears by Dagi and Susie

Warm and soft skin under his hands.....his lover's warm and soft skin....nothing better in the world........

Ennis refused to fall asleep, savoring the sweetest feeling imaginable after hours of lovemaking, Jack's body spooned up tightly against his own, their feet and legs intertwined, Ennis' hand lying softly on his lover's stomach.

In the twilight, his eyes drifted over the contours of Jack's body, noting the familiar moles and imperfections that had become so dear to him.  Two angry red scars across his face, one very close to his right eye, the other just above his chin, and several purple bruises over his chest and back, made Ennis' body shudder involuntarily.

His throat tightened up, but he didn't try to hold back the tears, knowing he would lose the fight in the end, as he always did in moments like this, when he held in hand what he had almost lost.

Jack's feable attempts at explaining away his injuries, the rim of a tire blasting into his face as he was trying to replace a flat, didn't fool Ennis for a moment.  His nightmares, the constant churning in the pitt of his stomach, the vision of two, three, sometimes ten men, laying into Jack with a tire iron, beating him to within an inch of his life, was going to haunt him for the rest of his days.  But he thanked God Jack was still alive, badly scarred perhaps, but here with him, lying peacefully in his arms.  The tears flowed freely, a little whimper escaping his lips.

"Shush, baby, I'm here.......it´s alright........" whispered his love, turning around and folding him closely in his strong arms.  Burying his face in the crook of Jack's neck,  Ennis finally allowed himself to sob like a baby, allowed Jack to rock him tenderly, humming the sweetest lullaby, until they both fell into a silent, peaceful slumber.........

Dagi and Susie

Dagi, Susie, this is just what the doctor ordered!  Very expertly written, extremely moving.  Poor Ennis!  Poor Jack!  Well, at least Jack survived the tire iron.  And he was the one to comfort Ennis!  Exceptional, my loves!  Brilliant.  Thanks so much for posting this for us!

Dagi and Susie
This story so vividly illustrates how we would never stop loving and desiring our beloveds regardless of what physical mishaps, mutilations, or infirmities might befall them. In fact, the wounds and scars could even become new contours of beauty in our eyes, on which to map our evolving desires. Ennis never stopped loving Jack when Jack's body was utterly gone, so certainly he would have loved and cherished him all the same had he lived on disfigured.

Interesting story, ladies, and I do believe this might be our first open collaboration on this thread. Congratulations!

Ennis' Fears by Dagi and Susie

You two make a great writing team! What a tender, sad, but beautiful perspective on what could have been, and a real testament to Jack's and Ennis' enduring love.

It's interesting to speculate on Ennis's reaction to erotica/pornography, gay, straight, or otherwise. I always felt it likely he would have come across material of the Playboy variety, which probably didn't do much for him. Had he seen publications like Hustler, with their occasional spreads of couples in simulated copulation, he might well have been turned on by the guys while rationalizing in his mind that it was the women he was looking at.

Jack, on the other hand, would probably have embraced porn with considerable ease. Heck, he embraced male prostitutes, so why not a "dirty" magazine here and there? And I think it quite plausible to imagine him introducing Ennis to this kind of material, in his inimitably tender way, just as you describe, Marie. Yet another interesting story from your inspired hand.
