While we are waiting for Louise's next instalment, let's catch up with licky Nicky.

Here he is finishing off his morning coffee.

He's off to meet his lunch date!

Jeremy can't be far away - I think Nicky has just caught sight of him!

Woo Wee is right!  Thanks, Jo and David.

Jo, who is this guy and where are you finding these pics? Isn't he the same guy in that quintessential Nick pic you posted a couple weeks ago and that Louise put up on LJ?  Damn.

And here he is posing for Jeremy....     ;)

That boy is such a tease, isn't he?

she is a hopeless tease,

It is Iain Gryffydd or whatever you pronounce his name as, and he has the pouty lips!

Ahh . . thanks, Louise.  I knew I'd seem him around but didn't know his name.  I googled him - "Ioan Gruffudd" but I haven't a clue how to pronounce that - but it doesn't matter - I'll just call him Naughty Nicky - and yes, those lips are mmmmmmm...... !

Important to the understanding of "Blood Oaths" is the following lyric, which I wrote something about on "Music Facts:"

http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=3226

"The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys" - Traffic

If you see something that looks like a star
And it's shooting up out of the ground
And your head is spinning from a loud guitar
And you just can't escape from the sound

Don't worry too much, it'll happen to you
We were children once, playing with toys
And the thing that you're hearing is only the sound
Of the low spark of high heeled boys

Ooh, ooh

The percentage you're paying is too high priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

But today you just read that the man was shot dead
By a gun that didn't make any noise
But it wasn't the bullet that laid him to rest
Was the low spark of high heeled boys

If you had just a minute to breathe
And they granted you one final wish
Would you ask for something like another chance?
Or something similar as this?

Don't worry too much, it'll happen to you
As sure as your sorrows are joys
And the thing that disturbs you is only the sound
Of the low spark of high heeled boys

The percent that you're paying is too high priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

But today you just read that the man was shot dead
By a gun that didn't make any noise
But it wasn't the bullet that laid him to rest
Was the low spark of high heeled boys
High heeled boys

If I gave you everything that I owned
And asked for nothing in return
Would you do the same for me as I would for you?
Or take me for a ride
And strip me of everything including my pride

But spirit is something that no one destroys
And the sound that I'm hearing is only the sound
Of the low spark of high heeled boys
Heeled boys

Ooh

My Licky Nicky is a gorgeous Italian singer by the name of Patrizio Buanne (who happens to be touring Australia at the moment).

I think David's Nick may be someone slightly more downmarket!

now now Jo,

I think you have been having too many tea and crumpets with Dame Edna.

What does this delicious Italian boy sing, anyhow?  And when does he get to Melbourne?
