the chain goes around the corner, and connects to the cube of one of the people I report to.

Today's travel destination:

Parati, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The harbor at costal Parati once hummed with activity as galleons loaded up gold from Brazil's interior to take home to Portugal.  today the two's time-warped beauty captivates urbanites from nearby Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo who come to enjoy its cobblestone streets, small shops, and barefoot sophistication.

Some personal pics to share with you all.

I've posted in The Diner & Le Bar that tonight (11/5) I had a wedding to attend, my cousin Guido's wedding to his partner of 12 years, Michael.  They live in NY, and with the recent vote that made gay marriage legal, they opted to get married tonight.  They had a small ceremony a number of years ago, but decided to make it legal after numerous family members began asking when they were getting married.






Centerpieces for the table....fiber optic objects with faux gemstones tossed about.  The tables were labeled with pics of 70s icons instead of numbers, this was the "Tina Turner" table.  I was seated at the "Barbara Eden" table.
