Every Friday they picked up groceries from the Basque
Ennis was usually the one assigned the task.
He asked for soup: Jack was tired of beans
He constantly spilled them on his jeans
So shouldn't he be eating them without pants on you ask?

A lone cowboy showed up in a truck shining red,
he had no idea what was waiting ahead
He had redlined it all the way from Texas,

pumped up on smex gas
hoping to soon have Ennis in bed

Ennis almost left his creel case behind

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Ennis almost left his creel case behind
all too eager to get Riverton out of his mind
