the heart of the matter --- as it were.
“Mr. Coyote always gets me good, boy,”  Ellery said, winking.  “Almost forgot what life was like before I got me my own personal coyote.”

SPOILERS

This is such an interesting turn of events.  Chas and Sergio seem oddly compatible, in more ways than one.

I'll tell you what, Louise - predictable you ain't!   :)

Thanks,
Marie

Yes, I had the same reaction, Fabienne.

SPOILERS

And now that I've read it, "Oh my . . . " is the first thing that came to my mind, too.  I was waiting to see Paula again, wondering what she was doing.   Another very, very interesting layer to the story.  From what I've seen, Paula is not at her best in socially awkward situations, and she seems well aware of that.  But Wes is right - Mel shouldn't be alone and I think Wes is the best person for him to be with right now.  Poor Mel . . . he is going to have so much deal with at a time when he will be least able to deal with it, but isn't that so often the way of life.

Thanks, Louise

So it was a 'bad' oh my....

I was going to post after I read the chapter but for some reason I got kicked out.

SPOILER

I'm wondering why Wes needs to insist as much as he does that Paula should go and see the DA... Something in her past? And I like Wes in a crisis situation, well, of course I like Wes in ANY situation. He's always so concerned and gets a good crasp of other people's needs. He should run for president!! LOL I'd vote for him.  :)

It made me think of Taking Chances, where Ellery told Colson about the 'bigger picture'.

thanks Louise.

"Wes Brown for President"  I love it!  Where do I get my bumper sticker?

Good thoughts about Paula's past - we don't know a lot about it do we?  But I have the feeling we will be finding out more, eventually.

So now I PROMISE to put out another Chesterfield chapter.  STand by.
