A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered.  Upon
their arrival, the doctor said that the hospital was testing an amazing new
high-tech machine that would transfer a portion of the mother's labor pain
to the baby's father.  He asked if they were willing to try it out.  Both
said they were very much in favor of it.

The doctor set the pain transfer to 10 percent for starters, explaining that
even 10 percent was probably more pain than the father had ever experienced
before.  But as the labor progressed, the husband felt fine, and asked the
doctor to go ahead and kick it up a notch.

The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20 percent pain transfer.  The
husband was still feeling fine.  The doctor then checked the husband's blood
pressure and was amazed at how well he was doing.

At this point they decided to try for 50 percent.  The husband continued to
feel quite well.  Since the pain transfer was obviously helping the wife
considerably, the husband encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to
him.

The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain, and the husband
had experienced none.  She and her husband were ecstatic.

When they got home, they found the mailman dead on the porch.

oh NO you did not!! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!

That was a good one, David...

Random posts, random jokes and occasionally, random pictures, too...

Speaking of random pictures....

I've been waiting for Roland to start a hot Firefighters thread!   LOL

But what the hell.

Anybody have a good caption for this one?

I was thinking, maybe that is Jake and Austin being carried out of the family vacation home when that fire happened a few months ago.

Unfortunatley that was the only fire fighter pic I had.

FYI:    The prefer to be called "Fire Fighters".    A "Fireman" is the name of the person on a train (or boat) that stokes the coal into the furnace.

Yes, I was corrected several times by a Fireman.  Fire fighter.

Morning all.

It is 6 in the morning and already 61 degrees here. I think we skipped spring and went right to early summer!

The snow is long gone. That got washed away in the storm last week.

All our daffodils bloomed in one day!

Subject: Computing your age

  YOUR AGE BY EATING OUT

Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood
  anyway-but your waiter may know!

YOUR AGE BY DINER &RESTAURANT MATH

  This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read ... Be
sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This
is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

  1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would
like to go out to eat. (more than once but less than 10)

  2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

  3. Add 5

  4. Multiply it by 50

 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1757...
  If you haven't, add 1756.

  6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How
many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)

  The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2007) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT
  AROUND WHILE IT LASTS
