Well you know I recall it vividly,as Heath was himself and jake used a body double. Still don't know why.You can't be shy when you have already filmed a passionate kiss with another man.
I recall reading somewher that was one of the 1st scenes to be fimed.
There are certain parts of my dvd, which will disintegrate if I freeze,pause,or watch in slow motion too many more times.!!!
I will leave it to your imagination to take a guess which.

I think it was concern about high the cliff was.

I think it was concern about high the cliff was.

I have heard a variety of theories:

1. How high the cliff was, and Jake doesn't like heights.
2. The risk to Jake (but then, why did they let Heath do it?).
3. Jake wasn't on the set. This scene was filmed in the 2 week period when he left to go attend to other business.

I've also heard theory #1 and 2. For the second theory I've heard that Jake's contract for filming Jarhead didn't allow it due to insurance issues. Then it makes sense why they let Heath do it, but not Jake.
