Well, everyone, I am back.
I had a wonderful visit with Paul in Boston. We went out for a nice lunch and enjoyed fresh oysters (yum!). Then we moseyed around the South End a bit before getting in the car and driving to Cambridge and Harvard Square. We moseyed some more before heading to the theater to see Candy.
Candy...Heath is excellent, as is Abby Cornish his co-star, but the movie is depressing. Is there anyway a movie about heroin addiction could be anything but depressing? I don't think so. I am glad I saw it but this will not be a movie for repeat viewings.
After that, Paul and I headed back to his neck of the woods. We moseyed some more, gathering supplies for dinner. We stopped for a drink and I made good on the bet I lost back in September. At the house we co-cooked a fabulous dinner of Jack's simple souffle (the recipe is on the Christmas at the Lazy L thread), risotto with truffles, and haricots verts. Yum!
More cooking this morning...waffles and bacon, accompanied by Christmas music. More yum!
Exciting moment? When I got to try on Lureen's red hat! It fit me! too bad neither of us had a camera.
It is hard to come back to earth after a wonderful, fun visit with a fellow Brokie. Thanks to you, Paul, you are a wonderful friend...
hugs and more,
L
